The Challenge

The homeowner required an accessible main-floor bathroom that could accommodate mobility needs without disrupting the flow of the existing living space. Since the home did not originally include a main-floor bathroom, the layout needed to be carefully reconfigured to allow for the addition while maintaining functionality in adjacent rooms.

Accessibility, safety, and ease of use were top priorities, along with creating a space that felt intentional and well integrated into the home rather than an afterthought.

Our Solution

Germano Creative designed and constructed a new three-piece bathroom on the main floor by reconfiguring the existing living room layout. A dividing wall was built to create the necessary space, along with a new doorway connecting the bathroom directly to the bedroom for convenient access.

The bathroom layout was carefully planned to support accessibility while maintaining a clean, modern appearance. Fixtures, finishes, and safety features were selected to balance comfort, durability, and ease of use.

Design & Function Highlights

Every element of this bathroom was chosen with accessibility and long-term usability in mind. The low-threshold shower entry, integrated bench, and strategically placed grab bars provide enhanced safety without compromising aesthetics.

Large-format porcelain tiles were selected for durability and ease of maintenance, while the quartz countertop adds a clean, modern finish. The overall layout allows for comfortable movement within the space, making the bathroom practical for daily use while remaining visually cohesive with the rest of the home.
